Develop segmental control of the upper spine and upper body awareness


Partial Roll down

Partial roll down: start position

1. Standing with good posture

2. Arms relaxed by your side


Roll down: Action

1. (Breathe in)Lengthen through the spine and allow the head to nod forward

2. (Breath out )Start rolling segmentally one vertebra at a time towards the shoulder blades, making sure that the movement is initiated from the cervical to thoracic (neck to upper back)

3. Take a breath in to hold

4. Release the breath as you return segmentally to start position.

5. Repeat 5 times

NOT RECOMMENDED IF SUFFERING FROM OSTEOPOROSIS
